便利になったe-VISA？

今月、20年ぶりのインド。昔はビザを大使館にとりに行ったものだけれど、今やe-VISAですんでしまうという。すごく便利になったものだと感心。

とはいえ、ビザをすすめていくと、なかなか大変。入力して次のページに進もうとすると入力したデータが消える。どうしたもんかな？とネットを調べてみると、次へボタンではなく、入力のページごとに一時保存して、あらためてアプライナンバーで進めていくと無事進めるという情報を発見。

その通りにすると、無事ビザの申請が完了した。そういえば、娘のパスポート更新がマイナンバーだけで済むようになったと進めていたら、最終的にエラーになって区役所に行かなくなってしまったり、便利になったような、ならないような？

This month I will be visiting India for the first time in 20 years. I used to have to go to the embassy to get a visa, but now I can just get an e-VISA. I am impressed with how convenient it has become.

However, it is not easy to proceed with the visa application. When I try to go to the next page after entering my details, the information I have entered disappears. What’s going on? When I checked on the internet, I found that instead of using the ‘Next’ button, I could temporarily save each page of input and then proceed to the next page with the application number.

When I did this, the visa application was successfully completed. Is the world getting easier? Or is it becoming more complex?
