本当に運がいい。ウルトラマン本番 DAY1 トライアスロン @コナ
どうも自分は本当に運がいい。カナダも最高のサポーターの皆様だったけれど、本当に最高だ。じつはサポーターの皆様とは現地で初対面。こんな見ず知らずの自分、どこの馬の骨かもわからない自分に終日時間を割いてくれる本当に稀有な方々だ。
ハワイ時間11月24日、本日DAY1。参加者の方、みんな変態で魅力的な人ばかり。やばいな。すごいよ。やっぱり極端な方に振っていくと面白い方が本当に多い。
今日はまずスイム１０km、うねりが強い。最初の５kmぐらいはとっても好調。ただ５kmよりいくとだれちゃって、だんだんペースが遅れてしまった。結局、最終の１０km地点ぐらいのときはダレダレ。今後、7海峡のどこか１つの海峡横断は必ず一回。そしてアイスレースも必ず一回やろうと思っているので、このレベルじゃ、ぜんぜんダメだ。とはいえ、自分の中では、ウルトラマンで唯一スポーツとしてやっていけるのがスイムぐらい。早くもなく、遅くもなくの、中間ぐらいのタイムでスイムゴール。
で、問題はその先、バイク。バイクみなさんがアスリートの姿勢で本当かっこよく乗っているのに、自分はどうしてもポジションが悪く素人バイク。いってみればサイクリングおじさんバイクで、めっちゃ遅い。そして、とにかく、どんなにいいカメラでとってもらってもかっこ悪い。
そんな中おじさんバイクでも、なんとかプッシュし続け、Day１ゴール。本当によかった。
レースの12時間中は、本当に「お！できる！！」と自分に自信が出る時と「もうだめ、できない」という心理状況が躁鬱みたいに繰り返す。
ただやっぱり何事も根拠のない思い込みでも良いので、最後の1秒まで絶対にできると思いこんで、自分をなんとか持っていくことがとっても重要だ。とにかくまずはDAY1をゴールできて本当によかった。

I am really lucky. Canada had the best supporters and HAWAII also!!!
Today is DAY 1. All the participants, they are all perverts and fascinating people. It’s amazing. It’s amazing. I knew I had to go for the extreme, there are so many interesting people.
Today we started with a 10km swim in a strong swell. The first 5km were very good. But after 5km I got tired and my pace slowed down. In the end I was too lazy for the last 3km. I will definitely cross one of the seven straits at least once. I’m also planning to do an ice race in the future, so my level is not good enough. However, I finished the swim somewhere in the middle.
The problem is the bike. While everyone else on the bike is riding really cool with an athlete’s posture, but I’m in a bad position on my amateur bike. Anyway I managed to keep going and finish on the first day.
During the 12 hours of the race, My mood constantly fluctuates between I can and I can’t.
But it is very important to keep in mind that I can do anything until the very last second. Anyway, first of all, I’m really glad that I was able to finish DAY 1.
