子育てについて考えさせられる映画「カート・コバーンのモンダージュ・オブ・ヘック」

今回のパリへの飛行機の中で、改めて、ニルヴァーナのカート・コバーンのドキュメンタリーを見た。

機内の映画でなく、自分のお気に入りとして携帯に常に入れている映画。このドキュメンタリー映画好きで、何かの機会に定期的に見ている。

この映画で、何が一番自分に響くかといえば、家族というものについて、自分の場合は、特に子育てについて。

自分は今4人の子の父親なわけだけれど、両親がどんなに近くにいても、子供に対する興味、愛がないと本当に子供は孤独を感じるんだということ。これをしたら愛してあげる、いい子であったら愛してあげるというような限定された愛じゃなく、たとえどのような状況でも心からあなたを愛している、そんな愛を親が与えられるかということが、それだけできれば、子育ては成功。

逆に言うと、それ以外のもの、教育だったり、お金だったり、その他すべて何もなくても、どんなことがあっても自分を肯定できるような絶対的な愛を与えてあげられることさえできれば、子育ては成功なのかもしれない。

Kurt Cobain’s Mondage of Heck – a film that makes me think about parenting
I once again watched a documentary about Kurt Cobain of Nirvana.

This film that I always have on my phone as my favourite. I like this documentary film and watch it regularly on any occasion.

What resonates most with me in this film is about family, and in my case, in particular about parenting.

I am a father of four children and I think that no matter how close the parents are, if there is no interest and love for the children, they really feel lonely. Parenting is a success if parents can give their children not limited love, such as ‘I will love you if you do this’ or ‘I will love you if you are a good child’, but love that they truly love you, no matter what the situation is.

Conversely, if they can only give you absolute love that affirms you no matter what, even if you don’t have anything else, education, money or everything else, then parenting may be a success.
