リアルタイム翻訳。現在はTOEIC900点程度の実力？Google pixel 6、Google nest hubがとっても使える。
リアルタイム翻訳のためにGoogle pixel6を購入した。やっぱりすごく便利。
画面に言った言葉と訳された英文が瞬時に出てくる。ちなみにiOSでもGoogleアシスタントを入れていれば同じように使えるけれど、一番の違いはGoogle pixel 6だと予め言語をダウンロード（現時点だとフランス語など主要言語１５ヶ国語ほどいける、なお音声の朗読はオフラインでは現時点では英語のみ）しておけば、オフラインでも使える。
さらにGoogle pixel 6だと、メモ機能で言った言葉をすべて文字に書き起こしてくれるのだけれど、この精度もやはりグーグルが一番。
このリアルタイム翻訳、どこにでも持ち運べるGoogle pixel6がやっぱり圧倒的に便利なのだけれど、これと同じ機能が現在わずか4000円ほどで買える画面付きのグーグルホームのデバイス、Google nest hubでも使える。さらに画面に文字が出なくて良いのであれば、メルカリなどで1000円で買えるGoogle Homeでも完璧にリアルタイム翻訳をしてくれる。
このリアルタイム翻訳のおかげで、さっと訳してもらいたいものをすぐ訳してくれて、英語の勉強もサクサク。リリース当初は間違いだらけだったGoogle翻訳、ニューラルネットを2016年から採用以降、翻訳は本当に素晴らしくなった。
話によると、日本語から英語の翻訳について言えば、現在TOEIC900点程度の実力というから、自分で訳すより、そりゃ精度が良いわけだ。
自分はメインでは、DeepL翻訳の有料版を使っているけれど、手軽さに関しては、本当にグーグルのリアルタイム翻訳が圧倒的。
今年は仕事でパリに買付に行く予定けれど、Google pixel 6を携えていけば、まったくわからないフランス語やドイツ語でお会話も問題なく対処できそうだ。
DeepL翻訳、Google翻訳。本当にすごい時代になったものだ。

I will be going to Paris for work this year, and if I bring my Google pixel 6, I will be able to handle conversations in French and German, which I don’t understand at all.
