dアカウントロック地獄「見えない壁、ドコモID」

携帯の契約まわりで、久しぶりにどっと疲れた。

アハモは本当に優秀だ。
海外でも追加料金なしでデータが使えるし、
今回は Pixel Watch を買ったので、そのセルラー契約も月550円でできる。

これなら、iPhone から Pixel への移行もスムーズだろう──
そう思って処理を進めていた。

……ところが。

まさかのドコモID ロック。

しかも、原因は「Dアカウント設定」という、また別のアプリが必要だったらしく、
その設定が途中で止まっていたことによるものだった。

アプリ → ログイン → ロック → 再設定 → できない → アプリへ戻る → またロック。
完全に無限ループ。

必要なはずのセキュリティ設定なのに、
認証のためにアプリをたらい回しにされ、結局設定できずに作業が中断される。

ドコモIDを解除するには Dアカウント設定が必要。
Dアカウント設定をするにはドコモID が必要。
ドコモID はロックされている。
解除するには……

見えない壁に囲まれた“迷路”だ。

結局、1時間ほどかけて、なんとか移行は完了した。
Dアカウント設定という別アプリを入れ、別IDを作り、それを紐づけて、認証して…また認証して…

便利になるはずが、その便利のためにどれだけ手間をかけているのか。

デジタルが一気に牙をむく瞬間だ。

そして今回しみじみ感じたのは、

eSIMは便利すぎるけれど、トラブル時は物理SIMのほうが楽なのかもしれない

ということ。

eSIMはもう何年も使っていて、
「物理SIM？なにそれ？」ぐらいの気分でいた。

でも今日だけは、こう思った。

物理SIMだったら、
抜いて、入れて、再起動。
それだけで終わっていたかもしれない。

「物理SIMがなくなった！」
と騒いでいたころは、その意味がまったく分かっていなかった。

便利さは、便利すぎると弱点にもなる。
そんな当たり前のことを、今日は久しぶりに思い知らされた。

結局、“便利”と“めんどう”のあいだを行き来しながら、
なんとか毎日をやりくりしている。

まあ、それも含めて、デジタル時代ということかな。

d-Account Lock Hell: “The Invisible Wall of Docomo ID”

I haven’t felt this drained from a phone-related task in a long time.

Ahomo is usually excellent—
you can use data overseas with no extra charges,
and since I bought a Pixel Watch this time,
I can add cellular service for just 550 yen a month.

So I thought the move from iPhone to Pixel would be smooth.

…But then it happened.

The Docomo ID lock.

The cause turned out to be something called the “D Account Setting” app—
yet another separate app that I apparently needed,
and its setup had stopped halfway.

App → Login → Lock → Reset → Error → Back to App → Lock again.
A perfect infinite loop.

It’s supposed to be a necessary security process,
but I was bounced around between apps for authentication
and couldn’t complete anything.

To unlock the Docomo ID, you need the D Account Setting app.
To set up the D Account Setting app, you need the Docomo ID.
The Docomo ID is locked.
To unlock it, you need…

An invisible maze with no exit.

After about an hour, I finally managed to complete the migration.
Installing the extra app, making another ID, linking it, authenticating…
and then authenticating again…

All this work just to make things “more convenient.”

Sometimes digital convenience suddenly bares its fangs.

And today I felt something else quite strongly:

eSIM is incredibly convenient,
but when something goes wrong,
a good old physical SIM might actually be easier.

I’ve been using eSIM for years,
to the point where I’d think, “Physical SIM? What even is that?”

But today made me reconsider.

A physical SIM could have been as simple as
remove → insert → restart.
Done.

When people used to panic over “I lost my SIM card!”
I never understood the feeling.
But now that I live in an eSIM-only world,
I kind of miss that old-fashioned sense of control.

Convenience, when it goes too far,
can turn into its own weakness.
Today was a good reminder of that simple truth.

In the end, we just keep moving between
“convenient” and “annoying,”
trying to manage daily life the best we can.

Well…
I guess that’s part of living in the digital age.
