今度はブルーオリジンの「New Glenn」! NASAとの契約獲得
先日はスペースXだったが、今度は、ジェフ・ベソスさんのブルーオリジンのNew Glenn。NASAとの契約獲得とのこと。
New Glenn（ニューグレン）は、ブルーオリジンの7基のBE-4液化天然ガスロケットエンジンを搭載した単一構成の再利用可能な重量物ロケット。
そのニューグレンが、今朝NASAとの契約を受注したとのこと。契約は、NASA Launch Services II (NLS II) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ)契約。
ニューグレンは、今後何年にもわたって、惑星、地球観測、探査、科学衛星の打上げを行う幅広いミッションに対応できるように宇宙船を設計することができるようになったとのこと。
イーロン・マスクさんのスペースXとジェフ・ベソスさんのブルーオリジン。世界トップの二人が本気で宇宙開発を目指すこの状況。目が離せない！！ この状況なら、間違いなく人類は数十年以内に火星に到達するだろう。
