Muse、Dots、Grok Bot。
Muse
Grok Bot

Muse, Dots, and Grok Bot. I Still Don’t Know Their Quirks.
Today I want to write about agentic AI.
Before I knew it, over the past month, agents were suddenly everywhere.
Meta’s Muse.
OpenAI’s Dots for ChatGPT.
And Grok Bot.
I’ve been using all three.
But to be honest, I’m still not sure which one to turn to for what.
Muse became available in Japan on October 23rd. You send it a message the way you’d message a person, and it draws up a plan, opens a browser, fills in forms, and can go as far as sending emails or booking travel.
Before sending an email or completing a purchase, it always checks with you first. In Japan, they’re also planning to connect it with services like Mercari and Money Forward.
The basic features are free, and paid plans start at 2,799 yen per month. Going forward, Muse is also set to become the “brain” inside Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses — which are already becoming a familiar sight at eyewear shops.
Dots is an agent that OpenAI announced on September 29th — one that keeps running continuously. It has its own dedicated computer in the cloud and connects to over 4,000 apps. It learns your preferences and ways of thinking the more you use it, according to OpenAI. For now, it’s available on the Pro and Business Premium plans.
In a blog post two days ago, I wrote that because of Dots, I’ve lost track of why I’d want to buy a new Mac.
Grok Bot also works with a dedicated computer. You can set up multiple bots, each with its own name and role, and they share the same computer while staying in contact with each other.
I have them split into a main bot, a shop bot, and a blog bot. Every morning I have them gather news that might be worth writing about, pull in the latest articles, and I’ve also connected them to Gmail and Google Calendar.
Laying it all out like this, something strikes me.
All three have their own dedicated computers in the cloud.
All three can keep working while I’m asleep.
The shape of them is almost identical.
How much does each one confirm before it acts?
What does it remember, and what does it forget?
Which services does each one work best with?
I still don’t know their quirks.
It reminds me a little of eyeglasses.
Even frames listed as the same size can sit completely differently — the way they rest on your nose, the way they hook over your ears. You make small adjustments, and gradually they start to feel like yours.
A tool only becomes truly yours once you know its quirks.
That’s true of most things, and it’s something you can only find out by using them.
Rather than comparing which one is smartest, I think the best thing is simply to start using them. That feels like the right approach to me.
