アルテミスIIが打ち上げを成功。現在「月」へ向かっている最中

日本時間4月2日朝、アルテミスIIが歴史的な打ち上げを成功させた。

現在、飛行3日目。4人の宇宙飛行士を乗せたオリオン宇宙船は、地球の引力を振り切り、静かに、しかし確かな意志を持って月へと向かっている。

今回のミッションは着陸こそ伴わないが、そのスケジュールは非常にタイトで、どこかドラマチックでもある。

地球周回を終え、月への「自由帰還軌道」へ移行。

飛行3〜5日目
月への往路。微小な軌道修正を繰り返しながら接近。

飛行6日目（来週火曜〜水曜）
月の裏側を回り込むフライバイ（高度約6,400〜1万km）。

飛行7〜10日目
地球への帰路。10日目に太平洋へ着水予定。

来週の半ば、彼らが月の裏側をのぞき込むとき、人類の宇宙探査は「見学」から「進出」へとフェーズを変えていくのかもしれない。

なぜ、これほどまでに世界中が色めき立っているのか。

それは、今回のアルテミスIIが単なる科学ミッションではなく、地政学的な「資源レース」の始まりと見られているからだ。

NASAや米政府が抱いているのは、ロマンよりも強い「危機感」だと言われている。月南極の資源をめぐる争いは、すでに現実のものとして動き始めている。

Artemis II Has Launched — Now on Its Way to the Moon

On the morning of April 2 (Japan time), Artemis II successfully completed its historic launch.

Now on day three of its flight, the Orion spacecraft—carrying four astronauts—has broken free from Earth’s gravity and is heading toward the Moon with quiet but unmistakable determination.

This mission does not include a landing, but its schedule is tight and, in many ways, dramatic.

Artemis II: A 10-Day Journey

Days 1–2 (now completed)
After orbiting Earth, the spacecraft entered a “free return trajectory” toward the Moon.

Days 3–5
Outbound journey toward the Moon, making small course corrections along the way.

Day 6 (next Tuesday–Wednesday)
A flyby around the far side of the Moon (at an altitude of approximately 6,400–10,000 km).

Days 7–10
Return journey to Earth, with splashdown in the Pacific on day 10.

By the middle of next week, when they pass behind the Moon, human space exploration may begin to shift from “visiting” to something closer to “establishing a presence.”

Why is the world paying such close attention?

Because Artemis II is not just a scientific mission. It is increasingly seen as the opening move in a geopolitical race for resources.

What NASA and the U.S. government feel is not just excitement, but a strong sense of urgency. The competition over resources at the Moon’s south pole is already becoming real.

From next Tuesday to Wednesday, humanity will once again reach the vicinity of the Moon.

And in moments like this, I can’t help but think of the film Ad Astra.
