久しぶりに会う方からよく言われるのが、「え、誠さん、まだ宇宙行ってないの？🚀」って（笑）。確かに、最近はちょっとご無沙汰してしまって…。

エベレスト以降の個人的な冒険といえば、数ヶ月前から「海峡横断に挑戦したい！」と言い続けているんですが、まだ実行できていません。もしかしたら、心の奥では怖いのかも？本当はやりたくないのかも？なんて思うことも多々。面白いことに、エベレストもウルトラマントライアスロンも、

決意するまでは、本当に憂鬱で…憂鬱で…

でも、終わってみれば、最高の達成感！✨

でも、終わってみれば「やってよかった！」と心の底から思える最高の達成感が待っていました✨

だから、今回も「えいや！」って飛び込むしかないのかな…なんて考えています。焦らず、無理せず、自分のペースで。冒険もアイウェアも、人生の旅は続きます。

【イベント告知】「めがね人格〜新たな私の発見〜」

そんな私が、3月23日（日）に滝野川フレイムスで特別なイベントを開催します！「めがね人格〜新たな私の発見〜」と題し、台湾で人気のクラシコブランドのトランクショーを同時開催。日本未入荷の170本ものアイウェアが集結します。

クラシックな眼鏡、アバンギャルドな眼鏡、最新のガジェット眼鏡まで、さまざまな「私」を表現できるアイテムを試して、新しい自分の可能性を発見する絶好の機会です。当日は、私、誠と、眼鏡愛溢れる鳥居氏が、トークや座談会で皆様をお迎えします。ぜひ遊びに来てください！

Hello everyone! I’m Makoto, running Makoto Eyewear in Shinjuku and Ginza.

Recently, I was featured in a wonderful article about “Climbing and Eyewear” by Shimano Lifestyle: https://lifestyle.shimano.com/story/2025/02_Climbing_and_Eyewear/

People I haven’t seen in a while often ask me, “Hey Makoto, haven’t you gone to space yet? 🚀” (laughs). It’s true, I’ve been a bit absent lately…

As for my personal adventures since Everest, I’ve been talking about “challenging a strait crossing!” for months, but haven’t done it yet. Maybe I’m scared deep down? Maybe I don’t really want to do it? I think about this often. Interestingly, with both Everest and the Ultraman Triathlon, I was really depressed… so depressed… until I made the decision.

But once I finished, what an amazing sense of achievement! ✨

When it was all over, I felt from the bottom of my heart, “I’m glad I did it!” – the ultimate sense of accomplishment awaited me ✨

So this time too, maybe I just need to take that leap of “Eiya!” (Let’s do this!)… That’s what I’m thinking. Without rushing, without pushing too hard, at my own pace. Both adventures and eyewear – life’s journey continues.

[Event Announcement] “Eyewear Personality ~Discovering a New Me~”

I’ll be hosting a special event at Takinogawa Flames on Sunday, March 23rd! Titled “Eyewear Personality ~Discovering a New Me~”, we’ll also host a trunk show featuring the popular Taiwanese Classico brand. 170 eyewear pieces not yet available in Japan will be gathered in one place.

From classic glasses to avant-garde frames and the latest gadget eyewear, it’s a perfect opportunity to try items that can express different versions of “you” and discover new possibilities for yourself. On the day, myself, Makoto, and Mr. Torii, overflowing with eyewear passion, will welcome you with talks and discussions. Please come join us!
