「Make in India」
インドは今、経済をもっと強くするために二つの大きな計画を進めていて、何かとインド、インドとニュースでも聞くので、今年久しぶりにインドに行ってきた。
インドが世界の工場になろうとする計画「Make in India」という計画を進めている。
インドでたくさんの物を生産。他の国に輸出することを目指している。これによって、仕事が増え、人々の生活が良くなることを期待。しかし、この計画はまだ完全には成功していなく、インドの輸出はあまり増えていない。
インドはもう一つの計画として「自立したインド」を目指している。これはインドが他の国に頼らずに、自分たちだけで物を作ることを目指している。この計画では、インドの企業を守るために外国からの物の輸入を減らそうとしています。ただ、これには問題がある。外国との競争を避けていると、インドの企業が世界で競争するための力をつけるのが難しくなる。
インドはこの二つの計画を同時に進めていますが、矛盾が生じている。インドは物を輸出したいと思っているのに、外国からの輸入を制限することで、他の国との貿易が難しくなる。
さらに、インドの政府は経済を良くするために多くの介入している。政府が企業や市場に強く影響を与えている。インドは「Make in India」と「自立したインド」という二つの大きな計画を進めて経済を強くしようとしているけれど、どうもあまりうまく行っていないようだった。
とはいえ、宇宙に宇宙船もとばしているし、今後インドは、要チェックなのは間違いない。

India is now working on two big plans to make its economy stronger, and I was in India this year for the first time in a long time, because I hear something in the news about India.
They are working on a plan called ‘Make in India’, which is a plan for India to become the factory of the world.
Make a lot of things in India. The aim is to export them to other countries. This will hopefully create more jobs and improve people’s lives. However, this plan has not been fully successful and India’s exports have not increased very much.
India’s other plan is to become an ‘independent India’. This involves India making things for itself without relying on other countries. The plan is to reduce imports of goods from abroad to protect Indian companies. But there are problems with this. Avoiding foreign competition makes it difficult for Indian companies to compete in the world.
India is pursuing these two plans simultaneously, but there are contradictions. India wants to export goods, but by restricting foreign imports it makes it difficult to trade with other countries.
The Indian government also intervenes a lot to improve the economy. The government has a strong influence on companies and markets. India is trying to strengthen its economy by promoting two big plans, ‘Make in India’ and ‘Independent India’, but they do not seem to be going very well.
However, it has sent a spacecraft into space and India is definitely something to look out for in the future.
