NASAの友人を紹介
先日ハワイで参加した一般的にいはトライアスロンの最長版ウルトラマン（スイム10km、バイク420km、ラン84km）そこで、自己紹介の時やラストスピーチで、私の今回の人生の目標は火星だ。火星に行く、必ず行く。そう言っていたら、インタビュアーのラリーが、NASAの火星プロジェクトをまとめている友人がいるから、紹介ということでメッセージを送ったらいいよ！と言ってくれた。
おおなんと素晴らしい！！とメッセージを送ろうとPCに向かったものの、良い文言が浮かばない。
「私は今回の人生中に必ず火星に行きたいと思っています。宇宙の知識もない私が火星を目指すうえで、必要なことはなんでしょうか」
そんなこと漠然なこと突然いわれても、まったく答えようもない。自分が逆の立場なら「は？？？」という感じだ。改めて、自分の火星への思いの曖昧さに苦笑。うーん。何送ろう？？

Last month I competed the longest version of a triathlon, the Ultraman (10km swim, 420km bike, 84km run)in Hawaii, where I said during my introduction and in my final speech that my goal in this life is Mars. Definitely I’m going to Mars. When I said that, Larry, the interviewer, told me that he has a friend who is the Mars project for NASA, so you can send him a message.
How wonderful! I will send him a message, but I couldn’t think of anything good to say.
I want to go to Mars in my lifetime. I have no knowledge of space, so what do I have to do to get to Mars?
If I were asked such a vague question, I would have no way of answering it. Once again I laugh at the vagueness of my thoughts about Mars. Hmmm… What should I send?
