無事、ハワイより日本到着。

おじさんになるとメイクが落ちちゃう。実際の実力がバレちゃう。腹の座った男にならないと火星なんて未知のところにはいけないから、腹の座った男になりたいというのが小さい頃からの夢だったけれど、多少なりとも近づけているかな？

エベレストでもウルトラマンでも一緒。最高の師匠、最高のシェルパさん、最高のサポータさんがいれば、あとは、ダメだと思った時に次の一歩が出せるかだけ。もうだめ、死にそう。そう思ったときでも次の一歩が出せるかどうかだけ。1分1秒のタイムを狙うストイックなプロの方は違うかもしれないけれど、完走を目的にしている自分のようなタイプにとっては絶対そう。たとえ自分の実力がないからって、やるからには全力でさらに死ぬ気で自分の実力以上を出し切らないと失礼だ。中途半端はいけない。

Arrived safely in Japan from Hawaii. When I become older, It reveals how good I really are. I have to be a man with a big belly to go to an unknown place like Mars, so it’s been my dream since I was little to be a man with a big belly, but I wonder if I’m getting any closer?

It’s the same with Everest and Ultraman. If you have the best master, the best sherpa and the best supporter, the only thing that remains is whether you can take the next step when you think it’s no good. I can’t do it anymore, I’m going to die. Maybe not for the stoic pros who are looking for a minute to the second, but definitely for the type of person like me who wants to finish the race. Even if you don’t have the ability to do it, it’s rude not to give it your all, and even more so if you don’t give more than you’re capable of with a deadly determination. Don’t be half-hearted.
