米国のカリフォルニアやコロラドなど41州が、若者への心理的な悪影響を知りながら利用者を欺いたとして、10/24日metaを提訴したよう。

「スロットマシンをやるギャンブラーのように」アプリを繰り返し使うよう誘導したとのこと。まあ、これは間違いない。自分ぐらいの年齢であれば、自分の意志でソーシャルメディアから距離を置くことはできるけれど、人生がソーシャルメディア中心になって抜けられなくなると、本当心の健康に良くない。

ソーシャルメディアをやっていると、知らないうちに他人と自分を比較してしまうけれど、

Insta-FB sued by 41 US states.
41 US states, including California and Colorado, sued META on 24 Oct for misleading users about the app’s negative psychological effects on young people.

They say the company induced them to use the app repeatedly “like gamblers playing slot machines”. Well, there is no doubt about it. If your life becomes social media-centric and you can’t get out, it’s really not good for your mental health.
