読書とウィスキーと静けさ

Audible の聴き放題に、村上春樹さんのさまざまなタイトルが出ているので、今、片っ端から聞いている。

村上春樹さんの小説の登場人物は、豪華な家具、贅沢な生活、社会的地位などにはまったく興味がなく、読書とウィスキーと静けさがあれば幸せ、そんな人物が多く、心からそう思える生活にとっても憧れる。

ある意味、現代の悟りの境地。アドレナリンに振り回せて生きている自分にもそんな境地はいつか来るのだろうか。

Reading, whisky and silence
There are several Haruki Murakami titles available on Audible’s unlimited listening service, and I’m currently listening to them all.

Many of the characters in Haruki Murakami’s novels are not interested in luxurious furniture, extravagant lifestyles or social status, but are content with reading, whisky and silence, and I long for a life in which I can truly feel that way.

In a sense, a modern state of enlightenment. I wonder if one day such a state of enlightenment will come to me as I live my life on adrenaline.
