湊かなえさんの山女日記を読んだ。

そういえば、山ガールとは言われていても、山ボーイというものはない。やはり、そこにギャップというか、山は男が行くものと思われていたので、山ガールというのが流行ったんだろう。

そう考えると、スカート男子や、化粧男子というのも山ガールのようなものか。化粧やスカートを女子が履いても普通なので、そんな名称はないけれど、一般的に化粧は女性がするものと思われていたので、成り立っている名称なんだろう。

映画ブレードランナーを見ていると、これから未来は、概念がより多様化する方向に向かっていく方向と、まったく真逆のガチガチの方向、どちらも考えられそうだけれど、今後はどうなっていくだろう？

I read Kanae Minato’s Diary of a Mountain Girl.

Come to think of it, people call them ‘YAMA girls’, but there are no ‘YAMA boys’. I guess there is a gap, or maybe it was thought that mountains were for men, which is why the term ‘YAMA girl’ became so popular.

In that sense, ‘skirt boys’ and ‘make-up boys’ are like ‘YAMA girls’. There is no such name because it is normal for girls to wear make-up and skirts, but it was generally thought that make-up was something women did, so it must be a valid name.

Looking at the film Blade Runner, it seems that the future can be thought of in either direction, either towards a more diversified concept or in the exact opposite direction of stiffness, what will happen in the future?
