できないことによる劣等感

うちの子供達は、義務教育まっさかり。

閉ざされたコミュニティに入っていると、できる人とできない人の差をどうしても感じてしまう。特に子供のうちは、ある人ができることが自分ができないと、ただただ劣等感を感じてしまうことが多い。

自分はできるほうなのか、できないほうなのか。パッと判断してしまい、それで諦めてしまうことが多い。

大人になったなら、自分なりの基準を持てるので、色々とやり方を変えて、最後まで食らいついて、結局は最初できる人よりもよりできるようになるなどは普通にあるけれど、子供のうちは、やっぱりできないことによる劣等感というのは感じやすい。

なので、ハードルを下げて、そもそものチャレンジをたくさんできるようにすることがとっても重要だ。

Inferiority through inability

Being in a closed community, they inevitably feel the difference between those who can and those who can’t. Children in particular often feel inferior if they cannot do what others can do.Am I the one who can do it or not? They often make a snap judgement and give up.

As an adult, you can have your own standards, so you can change your approach and eventually become more capable than those who were able to do it .However, children are more likely to feel inferior because they can’t do something, so it’s very important to lower the bar and allow them to take on more challenges in the first place.
