箕輪ダム

ゴールデンウィーク、妻の実家の長野。

皆は田植えの手伝い中、自分は一番下の子と一緒に近場を探索。妻の実家からすぐ近くの箕輪ダム。人もいなくてとっても良い。川の水はとても綺麗で、冷たい。

やりたいことは、身近なところでも、いくらでもかたちにできるし、いくらでも拡張できるのもしれない。そして、本当のとっておきの場所はじつは、自分で作るものなのかもしれない。

Golden Week, Nagano, my wife’s family home.

While everyone else helped with the rice planting, I explored the neighbourhood with the youngest. Minowa Dam, near my wife’s family home. Very beautiful, no people. The river water is very clean and cold.

What you want to do can take any number of forms, even in your immediate surroundings, and can be expanded as much as you like. And the really special place may be the one you make yourself.
