シンガポール、セントサ島のレジデンスエリア

今日もシンガポール。朝3km泳いだものの、ランニングをしてなかったので、セントサ島を10kmほど歩いてきた。にWホテルがあるあたりの先がレジデンスエリアになっているのだけれど、すごい！

中心部から近いのに、シンガポールの都会的な感じとはまったく変わってリゾート。

ウォーキングしていた際に、たまたま植物の伐採してゲートが開いていたため、知らないうちにレジデンスエリアに入っていたのだけれど、一つ一つの家に船を横付けできる桟橋がある。もちろん駐車場もあり表には高級車がずらり。

10kmほどの散歩後、レジデンスの近くのシーサイドのレストランで一人昼食がてらまったりしていたら、自分が変なメガネでランニングシューズを履いていたのに興味を示したセントサ島に住んでいてロードバイクを一通り乗ってきたというグループの方々に話かけられた。

交流する人と空間。これらは人生を大きく左右する。この空間、ここで過ごされている方はどんな方なんだろう？

今日はセントサ島の散歩でまるで別世界を見た。

Singapore, Sentosa Island
Singapore today. I swam 3km in the morning but didn’t do any running, so I walked 10km around Sentosa Island. The end of the island where the W Hotel is is a residential area and it’s amazing!

The resort is close to the centre, but very different from the urban feel of Singapore.

I was walking and happened to see a gate open due to plant clearing, so I entered the residential area without realising it. Each house has a jetty where you can dock your boat. Of course, there is also a car park and a lot of luxury cars in front.


After a 10km walk, I was having lunch alone at a seaside restaurant near the residence when I was approached by a group of people who had lived on Sentosa Island and had ridden all kinds of racing bikes, who were interested in my strange glasses and running shoes.

The people and spaces you interact with. They make a huge difference to your life. What are the people like who spend time in this space and here?

Today, as I walked around Sentosa Island, I saw a new world .
