究極までやり尽くそうとすると、掃除に向かう傾向が強い。

先日、大谷翔平さんの本を読んでいる際に、

「経営者であれ、スポーツ選手であれ、究極までやり尽くそうとすると、掃除に向かう傾向が強い」

と書いてあった。

掃除とパフォーマンス、一見まったく関係ないことだけれど、これはよく聞く。

よく考えてみると、日々の行動、パフォーマンスは、心、気持ちにものすごく左右される。細かいところまで徹底にこだわり手を抜かないと、心もシャキッとする。自分の管理もしっかりできるようになる。結果、パフォーマンスもあがる。

神は細部に宿るとは、そういうことなのかもしれない。

Cleaning and performance seem to have nothing to do with each other, but we hear this a lot.

If you think about it, your daily actions and performance are greatly influenced by your mind and feelings. If you pay attention to detail and don’t cut corners, your mind will be refreshed. You will also be able to manage yourself better. As a result, your performance will improve.

Perhaps this is what it means to say that God is in the details.
