マラリア感染で能力アップする「ハマダラ蚊」
マラリア。主に亜熱帯地域で感染する病気。自分の趣味は旅行。なのでよく亜熱帯地域も旅行するけれど、幸い自分はいままで感染したことはない。
マラリアを運ぶのが「ハマダラ蚊」。面白いのが、人にとっては脅威のマラリア原虫。ハマダラ蚊が感染すると、数々の能力がアップするという！
「ハマダラ蚊」がマラリア原虫に感染すると、嗅覚が向上し、吸血するための人を探し出す能力が高まる。繁殖力、免疫力が高まるらしい！
人間にとっては厄介以外何者でもないマラリア原虫。「ハマダラ蚊」にとっては、生存や繁栄能力が高まるパワーアップの源なので、「ハマダラ蚊」は喜んで感染し、結果、マラリアはより多く人に感染できる。なんて素敵なwinwin関係！
となると、人間の能力をアップさせる人にとってのマラリア原虫のような、存在や菌がどこかに必ずあってもよさそうだけれど、何かないのかな？

The malaria parasite is nothing but a nuisance to humans. For the ‘hamadryas mosquito’, it is a source of power-ups that increase its ability to survive and thrive, so the ‘hamadryas mosquito’ is happy to be infected, and as a result, malaria can infect more people. What a beautiful win-win relationship!
So it seems that somewhere there must always be an entity or a fungus, like a human malaria protozoan, that increases human capacity, but what if there isn’t?
If there was, that would be great!
