現在漫画、ドラゴン桜2を読んでいる。ドラゴン桜自体、読み出したのは最近なのだけれど、なるほど、さすがベストセラーに面白い。

ドラゴン桜2の中に面白い記述があった。

人間の脳は努力できる脳と努力できない脳の２つに分かれていることがわかった。これは先天的な要素が強く精神論でどうこうできる問題ではない。

努力できる人は何かを行うことで生じる報酬や成果を感じる脳の機能が高く、加えて損得を冷静に計算する機能が鈍い。

努力できない人は何かを行うことで生じる報酬や成果を感じる脳の機能が低く、損得を冷静に計算する人。努力ができないのは脳の島皮質という部分が「そんなことしても無駄だよ」「面倒だからやめよう」とブレーキをかけることが要因。

何が面白いって、努力できる人は冷静に損得を計算できない人という箇所。自分は集中すれば、それだけをいつまでもやっていける、いわゆる努力できるタイプだと思うのだけれど、まさに損得を計算できない人というのは間違いない。

起業する人にはバカが多いというのもまったく同じことで、起業する人は、損得が計算できない人、損得考えずに行動してしまう人。そもそも、損得が計算できちゃうと、普通は自分で独立して何かやろうなんてことは思わないのかもしれない。

自分の場合、「この損得が計算できないこと」これがとっても良かった。

It is interesting that the people who can make an effort are the ones who cannot calmly calculate gain and loss. I think I am the type of person who can work hard, and I am sure I am the type of person who cannot calculate gain and loss.

In a way, this may mean that a lot of people who go into business for themselves are stupid because they cannot calculate profit and loss.

This is exactly why many people who start their own business are idiots: people who start their own business are people who cannot calculate their profits and losses and act without thinking about them. If they can calculate the profits and losses at all, they would not normally think of doing anything on their own.

In my case, “this loss and gain cannot be calculated” was very good.
