マイブック、今年で23年目
2000年から続けているマイブック、今年で23年目。
23年前の自分のマイブックを読んでみると就活生。22年で思えば遠くへ来たものだ。
昨日のブログじゃないけれど、22年を振り返ると、まさにチャップリンの名言が当てはまる。
Charlie Chaplin: “Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot.” (人生はクローズアップで見ると悲劇、ロングショットで見ると喜劇)
短期で考えると、イライラしたり、迷ったり、満足できなかったり、色々とあるけれど、22年として改めて振り返ってみると、確かに喜劇。
そして、22年の自分の人生の中のハイライトについて思い返してみると、まさにヒットラーの名言が当てはまる。
Adolf Hitler: “If you want to shine like a sun, first you must burn like a sun.” (太陽のように輝きたいなら、まず自分が太陽のように燃えなければならない。)
後からみても、自分が輝いていたときは、必ず自分自身を、まずは後先など考えず、燃やしているときだった。
現在44歳、これから23年後だと、およそ70歳。子供も独立し、23年、思えば遠くへきたもんだ、確かに喜劇だったとまた思えるか。いや、思えるか？ではなく、23年後も、再び、生はクローズアップで見ると悲劇、ロングショットで見ると喜劇と思えるように生きていこう。

My Book, which I have been writing since 2000, is 23 years.
Twenty-three years ago, when I read it, I was a job hunter; in 22 years, I’ve come a long way.
Looking back over the past 22 years, a quote from Charlie Chaplin is very apt.
Charlie Chaplin: “Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot.”
When you think about it in the short term, frustrated, lost, unsatisfied and many other things, but when look back again as 22 years, it is indeed a comedy.
And when I think back about the highlights in my 22 years of life, Hitler’s quote applies exactly.
Adolf Hitler: “If you want to shine like a sun, first you must burn like a sun.”
In hindsight, when I was shining, it was always when I was burning myself first, without any second thoughts.
I am 44 years old now, and in 23 years’ time I will be around 70 years old. My children are independent, 23 years have passed, I have come a long way, can I think again that it was indeed a comedy? I will again live my life in such a way that life is a tragedy when seen close-up and a comedy when seen in long shot.
