トライアスロン、最短（スプリント）から最長（ウルトラマン）まで、すべての距離を経験してみて、わかったこと

トライアスロンを初めてから、今まで1回目スプリント、2回目ミドル、3回目アイアンマン、4回目アイアンマン、5回目ミドル、6回目ウルトラマンと経験してきて、本日7回目で初めてのオリンピックディスタンス。

短い距離なら、色々とタイムが良くなるかと甘い考えで参加してみたのだけれど、終わってみたら結局何もよくならず、ウルトラマンのペースとほぼ同じだった。

短ければ、何か良い結果が出せるというわけでもなく、やっぱり実力以上のものは、何もでないようだ。オリンピックディスタンスを経験したので、これで、一般的なトライアスロンのすべての距離を経験したことになる。

結果、わかったこと。

ビジネスでもなんでもそうだけれど、絶対数の多いところは難しい。人の尻込みするところは、一見難しいし、参入障壁もあるけれど、一度入ってしまうと結構スムーズ。

参加人数も多いオリンピックディスタンスで、ハワイのチャンピオンシップに出ることはものすごく難しい。参加人数の圧倒的に少ないウルトラマンは、参加して完走してしまえば、自分でも来年チャンピオンシップのハワイに参加できる。

やっぱり自分は、ビジネスでもスポーツでも、人のやらないこと、人の尻込みするところを攻めていくのが、性に合っているようだ。今後もそういった分野に取り組んでいこう！

Triathlon, from shortest to longest, all distances and what I’ve learned
Since I started triathlon, I have experienced sprint, middle, Ironman, and Olympic distance.

I thought that a shorter distance would improve my time, but it didn’t improve it at all and in the end. it was almost the same as my Ultraman pace.

It seems that nothing is better than one’s ability.

Now that I have done the Olympic distance, I have done all the distances of a typical triathlon.

What I found out as a result.

What people shy away from is pretty smooth once you get into it.

It is extremely difficult to get into the Championships in Hawaii in the Olympic distance. However, Ultraman, with far fewer participants, I can get into the Championships in Hawaii next year.

It seems to suit me to do what others don’t do and to attack where others shy away.

It seems that I am suited to doing what others don’t do. I will continue to work in those areas!
