旅行よりも、何よりもゲーム。

うちの子供たちはNintendo Switchなどのゲームが大好き。

今でこそ、自分はゲームはまったくやらないけれど、あらためて、思い出すと、小学生から高校ぐらいまでは、ゲームが本当に好きで、一日に何時間でもやっていた。

自分が生まれ育った家庭には、ゲームは何時間までなどというルールはなかったし、勉強しなさいなどといわれることも一切なかったので、1日10時間、12時間など平気でゲームをしていた。

で、あらためて思い出したのだけれど、学生の時に、熱中できるゲームに巡り合った時の幸せといったら、もしかすると、実生活でエベレスト登頂や、長距離のトライアスロン、ウルトラマンなどを完走した時の高揚感と同じぐらいだったかもしれない。

今、娘たちが、旅行などよりも、Nintendo Switchなどを何時間でもやっていたいというのは、思い返せば、確かにわかる気がする。

あらためて考えてみると、人にとっての幸せの尺度というのは、本当に不思議なものだ。

My kids love Nintendo Switch and other games.

I don’t play games at all now, but I remember that I really liked games and played them for hours.

When I was a child, there were no rules about how many hours I could play games, so I played games for 10 hours a day, 12 hours a day,.

And I remember how happy I was when I found a game that I was passionate about, it was really great, it added color to my life .

I think I can see now that my daughters would rather spend hours playing Nintendo Switch rather than travel.
