ICEMAN　病気にならない体のつくりかた

昨日のブログでも書いたのだけれど、ウルトラマンカナダでご一緒させていただき、海峡横断をされてた方に、海峡横断の秘訣をお聞きしたところ、アイスマンさんのこちらの洋書「The Wim Hof Method:」をオススメいただいた。

洋書なので、まずは日本語に訳されているものはないものかと探したところ「ICEMAN　病気にならない体のつくりかた」という本を発見し、早速購入。と思ったら、じつはかなり前に自分で購入しすでにKindle で所有していた。

おそらくエベレストで、アイスマンさんのことを聞き、購入したものの、未読のままになっていたんだろう。

さっそく、あらためて読んでみると、アイスマンさんことWim Hofさん凄すぎる。

アイスマンさんのメソッドで、なんの登山のトレーニングもなしの素人、さらに病人の方々を、アイスマンさんお呼吸法とコールドメソッドだけで、上半身裸で、36時間でキリマンジャロ登頂させてしまったり、ちょっと読んだだけで、こりゃやばい！

最後の後書きをみると、どうやらアイスマンさん、独学でヨガを習得、その後何年も独自の方法で鍛錬を積まれていたようだ。これはご自身の本でなく、別の方の書いた本なので、やはりご自身の著書「The Wim Hof Method:」これもしかすると、自分にとって、今後の人生を変えるような書になるかもしれない！

ICEMAN How to build a disease-free body
As I wrote in yesterday’s blog, I asked one of the Ultraman Canada participants, he recommended this book “The Wim Hof Method:” written by Mr. Iceman.

I searched for a Japanese translation of the book and found “ICEMAN: How to Build a Sickness-Free Body,” and I immediately read the book and found that ICEMAN, Wim Hof, was too good to be true.

He has helped amateurs and sick people without any mountaineering training to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in 36 hours without any clothes on, using only his breathing exercises and cold method.

In the afterword at the end of the book, it seems that Mr. ICEMAN trained yoga in his own method for many years afterwards. “The Wim Hof Method:” or perhaps it will be a life-changing book for me in the future!
