「職業としての小説家」海外と日本

村上春樹さんの「職業としての小説家」をAudibleの聴き放題で聴いた。

村上春樹さんの小説は昔からとっても好き。

全体を通し面白かったのだけれど、村上さんは、長編小説を書くときは、日本だと雑音が多いから海外に行くとおっしゃっていた。やっぱりそうなのだ。やっぱりどうあったって、海外にいるのと、日本だけで生活しているのとだと思考は変わってくる。これは絶対間違いない。

あと、村上さんは小説は誰かに頼まれて書く事はしない、自分が書きたいと本当に書きたいと思った時にしか書かないともおっしゃっていた。

この職業としての小説家を読んで、村上春樹さんは、本当に素晴らしい生活をしているなと思った。村上春樹さん、本当に素敵だな。

そういえば、ノルウェーの森の映画版の撮影があったのは、今うちのメガネ屋銀座店の入っている奥野ビルだった。

まだ映画版は見てなかったので、さっそく明日にでも見てみよう。

The Novelist as a Profession” Overseas and Japan
I listened to Haruki Murakami’s “Novelist as a Profession” on Audible’s unlimited listening service.

I have always loved Haruki Murakami’s novels.

I enjoyed this “Novelist as a Profession” whole book, Mr. Murakami said that when he writes a full-length novel, he goes abroad because there is too much noise in Japan. I think so too, your thinking changes when you are abroad and when you are living only in Japan. There is no doubt about that.

Mr. Murakami also said that he never writes a novel because someone asks him to, but only when he really wants to.

Reading this “Novelist as a Profession”, I thought that Haruki Murakami really has a wonderful life.

By the way, the movie version of Norwegian Woods was filmed in the Okuno Building, which now houses our glasses shop.I hadn’t seen the movie version yet, so I’ll have a look at it right away tomorrow.
