「Apple Watch セルラーモデル」の意味がやっと見出せた。3歳の子にウォッチナンバーサービス月額385円
現在3歳のうちの子が大変激しい。スーパーなどでちょっと目を離すと、一瞬にしていなくなる。そして、まったく見つからない。どうにかならないかと、まず自分が使ってなかったApple Watchをつけさせることにした。
最近まったく使ってなかったApple Watch。
今までは、主契約がないとApple Watchのセルラー契約ができなかった。ただ素晴らしいことに去年からauだと本契約なしでもウォッチナンバーサービスというもので月額385円で、別の番号を持てるようになり、Apple Watchを完全に子供用としてとってもリーズナブルに持てるようになった。
このウォッチナンバーサービス、通常の契約とは違い色々制限されているけれど、電話やメッセージ、マップの利用、位置情報の送信など一通りのことはできるので十分！
とはいえ、電池も切れやすいし、息子自体、時計をつけるのが嫌なこともあるようでなので、出かける時はもっと手軽なAppleの「Airtag」を身につけていくことにした。これなら電池も1年ほど持つし、月額料金などかからず持てるし。
これで、万が一の際の息子の居場所もわかる。ただ使っていて、わかったのだけれど、「Airtag」だと同じスーパーにいるというのはわかるけれど、10m以内など近い位置だと、正確な位置まではわからない。なので、猫の首輪の鈴じゃないけれど、100均で小さな鈴とカラビナを買ってズボンにつけてみることにした。動くとチリンチリンなるので、これだとすぐどこにいるかわかる。そして、鈴が聞こえないくらい万が一遠くに行ってしまったら、「Airtag」で場所がわかる。

ちなみに、Apple Watchは小学生の娘たち用として使っていてとってもよい。子供用としてApple Watchを設定すると機内モードの他にスクールタイムを設定することができて、その時間は通知をうけないようにもできる。
Apple製品は、いったん使わなくなっても、色々とアップデートしてくれてまた使い道出てくるし、やっぱり本当に便利。

And if he should happen to be too far away to hear the bell, I can use “Airtag” to locate my son.

By the way, the Apple Watch is very good to use for my elementary school daughters. When I set up the Apple Watch for my kids, I can set school hours as well as airplane mode, so they don’t get notifications during those hours.
Apple products are really useful, even if you don’t use them anymore, you can update them and find a use for them again.
