孤独に死を迎えないルール。same fate as Gauguin.
「あの天才がなぜ転落 伝説の12人に学ぶ失敗の本質」を読んだ。
さまざまな天才の話が書いてあり、全編を通し、面白く読めたが、特に自分が印象をうけたのがゴーギャンの箇所。
ゴーギャンは画家を志す前は、株式の仲介人で成功しており人も羨む高収入、美しい妻と5人の子供、立派な屋敷での豊かな生活があったという。しかし、裕福だったゴーギャン。34歳を境に仲介人の仕事一切をすべてやめ、画家を志してから、収入は激減、妻には愛想を尽かされ、最期は誰にも見取られずに生涯を終えた。
そんなゴーギャンが生前妻に送っていた手紙。
「いつか君は、子供たちの父親として自分がどんな男を選んだのかわかる日が、必ずくるのです。私は、自分の名前に誇りを持っています（1891年3月、妻メット宛ての書簡）」
この手紙の内容がまさに、子供ができてからも新たな状況に手を出したくてしょうがなく、今も常に宇宙に行く、宇宙に行くと言っている現在自分が常に妻に言っているセリフ
「短期じゃなく人生全体で見てくれ。絶対に人生全体でみたら後悔させないから」
とリンク。
子供ができてからも、新たなことにチャレンジしたがり、宇宙に行く、宇宙に行くと子供のように言い続けている私は正直妻から見たら迷惑でしかないだろう。
そんな自分も新たな挑戦をして、収入が激減したら、ゴーギャンと同じ道を辿る可能性は大ということだ。
家庭を持つもの、特に子供をもつものは、最期一人で生涯を終えたくないなら、絶対に収入を激減させてはいけない。これはきっと人生の絶対のルール。

I read “Why did that genius fall?”
The book contains stories about various geniuses, and I enjoyed reading the whole book, but I was particularly impressed with the part about Gauguin.
Before becoming a painter, Gauguin was a successful stockbroker with an enviable income, a beautiful wife, five children, and a luxurious life in a magnificent house.
However, after he turned 34, Gauguin quit his job as a stockbroker and became a painter. His income declined dramatically, his wife gave up on him,In the end he died alone and lonely.
Such is the letter that Gauguin sent to his wife before his death.
“One day you will surely know what kind of man you have chosen to be the father of your children. I am proud of my name (letter to his wife Mette, March 1891)”
The content of this letter is exactly linked to my line
“I want you to think about the pass/fail of marrying me, not in the short term, but in your entire life. I will never make you regret it if it’s in your life.”
Even after having a child, I have always wanted to try new things and keep talking about going to space, going to space, going to space like a child, which is honestly annoying to my wife.
It means that if I take on a new challenge and my income plummets in the future, Unfortunately, I suffer the same fate as Gauguin.
Anyone with a family, especially one with children, should never drastically reduce their income if they do not want to died alone and lonely. Surely this is an absolute rule of life.
