富士急ハイランド、東京ドームのfacethru顔認証
先日、家族で富士急ハイランドに行った際、顔認証になっていて、入場料がなくなっていた。以前はあった入場料がなくなり、顔認証でアトラクションごとの課金になっていた。
うちからもっとも近い遊園地、東京ドーム、遊園地として顔認証はまだ導入してないけれど、東京ドームは顔認証での入場と、顔認証で買い物ができる店舗が数店できたよう。
顔認証の買い物は、簡単にいうと顔認証とSuicaがくっついた仕組み。あらかじめfacethru登録サイトからクレジットカードを紐づけておいて、顔認証後、PINコードを入力で買い物ができるよう。
コロナのおかげで、今はスマホ決済がほとんどのお店で使えるようになったので、現金を持たず、スマホのアプリだけで支払いしているけれど、今後はスマホさえも持たず手ぶらで買い物ができる時代になっていくのは必然か。
なお現在、戦争では、顔認識システムの利用について「顔認識で身元特定を誤れば、誤認逮捕が起こる。戦時に顔認識で身元特定を誤れば、無実の人々が銃撃される」と議論が巻き起こっている。
良い悪いは別にして、顔認証が世界で当たり前になる時代は近そうだ。

“If facial recognition fails to identify people, false arrests will occur. If facial recognition is used to incorrectly identify people in war, innocent people will be shot.”
There are good points and bad points, but it seems certain that facial recognition will become the norm around the world.
