アウトドアでもお世話になっているパタゴニアとブラックダイヤモンドの創業者、イヴォン・シュイナード氏は、もとはサーファーでロッククライマー。
サーファーでロッククライマーだったイヴォン・シュイナード氏「魂を売り渡さずに生計を立てるにはどうすればいいか」ということを考え、パタゴニアとブラックダイヤモンドの創業したらしい。
