ZOOX アマゾンの自動運転
どうしたって、これからは自動運転だ。Googleなどに一足遅れ、アマゾンの自動運転、ZOOXを披露。
アマゾンが所有する自動運転スタートアップZOOXは、1回の充電で昼夜を問わず運転できるハンドルのない完全自律型の電気自動車で4人乗り。両端にモーターが付いていて、どちらの方向にも走行可能なので、Uターン不要。なのでUターンできない袋小路や駐車場への乗り入れも簡単。なお最高時速は75マイルとのこと。
今年10月に、Google、Alphabet Inc.の自動運転ユニットWaymoがフェニックス郊外で完全無人タクシーサービスを開始したのと、ゼネラル・モーターズの支援を受けたクルーズLLCも、サンフランシスコで運転手なしで自律走行車のテストを行っていたりと、もう間違いなく時代は、どうやったって自動運転へ！
