スペースXのスターシップの目指す「鏡面仕上げ」と曲線が美しすぎる。
イーロン・マスク氏率いるスペースXの「スターシップ」の目指す曲線 &「鏡面仕上げ」が美しすぎる。
自分は眼鏡屋なので、お客様のレンズを作成する際に、
レンズの縁を「鏡面仕上げ」にして光らせるか、
逆に「マット仕上げ」にするか聞くことがあるのだけれど、
「スターシップ」素材もカーボンからステンレス鋼に変更され、「鏡面仕上げ」になったようだ。
右が現在の実際のレンダリングしてないもの。左が目指すもの。
この「鏡面仕上げ」は単にカッコいいからじゃなく、
鏡のように「鏡面仕上げ」をすることで、
きわめて高い反射性能を実現し、光・熱を反射させ、
大気圏再突入時の熱の負荷を和らげることができ、
耐熱システムの質量を減らすことができるとか。
とりあえず、光ってカッコいい「鏡面仕上げ」のロケット楽しみです
