マカオから日本へ – 直通バスはやっぱり便利。

数日間の温州・マカオ・珠海の旅も終わり、本日マカオから帰国。マカオからだと、マカオ航空がとても便利で、日本への直行便もあるのだけれど、今回は香港経由での帰国を選んだ。

今回改めて良いなと思ったのが、マカオから香港国際空港への直通バス。マカオの段階で航空便のチェックインまで済ませることができるのが素晴らしい。バスでの移動時間は約1時間程度。ここ最近は空港直通バスではなく、通常バスを使っていたのだけれど、直通バスはやっぱりとても便利だった。

マカオからの香港空港直通バスの何が良いかといえば、イミグレがとても楽なこと。バスの乗客だけしかいないので、ほとんど待ち時間がない。ここでも「人のいないイミグレ」の快適さを改めて実感。混雑していない入国審査というのは、やっぱり旅の疲労を大幅に軽減してくれる。

マカオ航空の直通バスシステムは、従来の「空港に着いてからチェックイン」ではなく「出発地でチェックインして、空港では乗るだけ」という発想。小さな違いに見えるかもしれないけれど、実際の旅行体験では大きな違いを生む。

振り返ってみると、今回の旅で印象に残ったのは、「移動」だった。温州空港の静けさ。マカオと珠海を結ぶ自動化ゲートの効率の良さ。そして、マカオ発の直通バスによる、シームレスな空港アクセス。

温州、マカオ、珠海。それぞれの街の魅力もさることながら、それらをつなぐ「移動」そのものが、今回の旅でいろいろと気づきをくれた。次の旅でも、また違った発見があるだろうか。そんなことを考えながら、日本へ。

Seamless Journeys: Travel Innovation Across Wenzhou, Macau, and Zhuhai.

My several-day trip to Wenzhou, Macau, and Zhuhai has come to an end, and I returned home today from Macau. While Air Macau offers convenient direct flights to Japan from Macau, I chose to return via Hong Kong this time.

What I found particularly excellent this time was the direct bus service from Macau to Hong Kong International Airport. It’s wonderful that you can complete your flight check-in while still in Macau. The bus journey takes about an hour. I’ve been using regular buses instead of the airport direct bus recently, but the direct bus is indeed very convenient.

What makes the direct bus from Macau to Hong Kong Airport so great is how easy immigration is. Since only bus passengers are there, there’s virtually no waiting time. Once again, I was reminded of the comfort of “uncrowded immigration.” Immigration procedures without crowds really do significantly reduce travel fatigue.

Air Macau’s direct bus system represents a shift from the traditional “check in after arriving at the airport” to “check in at your departure point and just board at the airport” approach. It might seem like a small difference, but it makes a huge difference in the actual travel experience.

Looking back, what impressed me most about this trip was the “movement” itself. The quietness of Wenzhou Airport. The efficiency of the automated gates connecting Macau and Zhuhai. And the seamless airport access via the direct bus from Macau.

Wenzhou, Macau, Zhuhai. Beyond the charm of each city, the “movement” itself connecting them provided me with various insights during this trip. I wonder what different discoveries await on my next journey. With such thoughts, I head back to Japan.
