バフェット氏。今まで約8兆9000億円もの金額を寄付

世界で最も有名な投資家の一人、ウォーレン・バフェット氏。バフェット氏、自らの資産のほとんどを慈善団体に寄付すると宣言しているけれど、なんと、バフェット氏すでに550億ドル以上（日本円で約8兆9000億円）もの金額を寄付しているとのこと！！

もしバフェット氏が現在この金額を寄付せずに全て持っていたなら、彼の財産は2930億ドル（約47兆3000億円）にもなっていたとのこと。これは、現在の世界一富豪イーロン・マスク氏を上回る金額。

なおバフェット氏の寄付の大部分は「ビル＆メリンダ・ゲイツ財団」で、430億ドル（約7兆円）を超えているとのこと。自分のために多くのお金を必要とせず、1958年以来、ネブラスカ州オマハの自宅で生活のスタイルをほぼ変えず、今でも普通にマクドナルドを食べているというバフェット氏。

「自分の家族や友人が幸せに暮らすために必要なものは全て手に入れているので、それ以上の富は社会に還元したい」「社会には私のお金の使い道がある」述べるバフェット氏。ここまで言動一致している方は、バフェット氏以外いるだろうか？

バフェット氏は本当に素晴らしい。ただ、だからといってイーロン・マスク氏がダメというわけではまったくない。マスク氏はマスク氏でこちらも大変すばらしい。現存する人類で、マスク氏ほど人類の可能性を広げられる方はいないだろう。なので、マスク氏の場合は寄付を行うより、全ての財産をオールインして、引き続き人類の可能性を広げる取り組みに注力してほしい。そしてぜひ人類を火星へ！！！

Warren Buffett, one of the world’s most famous investors. Mr Buffett, who has pledged to donate most of his fortune to charity, has already given away more than $55 billion (about ¥8.9 trillion)!

If Mr Buffett had all this money without giving it away now, his fortune would be worth $293 billion (about ¥47.3 trillion). This is more than the current richest man in the world, Elon Musk.

In addition, the majority of Mr Buffett’s donations have gone to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which has over $43 billion (about £7 trillion). Mr Buffett, who does not need much money for himself, has not changed his lifestyle at his home in Omaha, Nebraska, since 1958 and still eats McDonald’s regularly.

Mr Buffett says: “I have everything I need for my family and friends to live happily, so I want to give more of my wealth back to society” and “Society has a use for my money”. Who else but Mr Buffett has been so consistent in his words and actions?

Mr Buffett is truly brilliant. But that doesn’t mean Mr Elon Musk is bad. Mr Musk is also truly brilliant. I don’t think there is anyone in the world who can expand the possibilities of humanity as much as Mr Musk. So instead of making a donation, I would like Mr Musk to put all his wealth into the project and continue to focus on expanding the possibilities of humanity. And by all means, send humanity to Mars!
