最近、イスラエルが人工知能（AI）を使って、偽のSNSアカウントから情報を発信しているというニュースがあった。イスラエル政府がAIを使った影響力工作を通じて、ガザ地区での軍事作戦への支持を得ようとしているとしていたとのこと。

偽のアカウントは、実在する米国人であるかのように装い、X（旧ツイッター）、フェイスブック、インスタグラムなどでイスラエル寄りのコンテンツを投稿。特に、民主党のハキーム・ジェフリーズ下院院内総務やラファエル・ウォーノック上院議員ら黒人議員をターゲットにしている。

現在は、偽アカの投稿は「ChatGPT」で大量につくられているという。AIを使っての情報操作は、今後もっともっとでてくるのだろう。世論というけれど、今は巧みに計画をもってすれば、それすら、AIで作れてしまう時代なのかもしれない。

There has been recent news about Israel using artificial intelligence (AI) to spread information from fake social networking accounts. It was claimed that the Israeli government was trying to gain support for its military operations in Gaza through influence operations using AI.

The fake accounts posed as real US citizens and posted pro-Israel content on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook and Instagram. They are particularly targeting black members of Congress, including Democratic House Majority Leader Hakim Jeffries and Senator Raphael Warnock.

Fake posts are currently being made in large numbers on ChatGPT, and AI-based information manipulation is likely to become more common in the future. Public opinion is now a matter of public opinion, but even that can be created by AI if it is cleverly planned.
