The downside of adulthood
When you are an old man, sometimes before you do something you stop thinking, ‘Does this really make sense?’ and sometimes the action stops before you think, ‘Does this really make sense? This is what is called ‘adult harm’, which has been cultivated over a long life.
It is an evil of adulthood to get stuck without a reason. We don’t need a reason.
As adults we feel we need a ‘plausible reason’ to do something. For example, if we want to start something new, we think of reasons such as ‘what is in it for me if I do this’. This is in contrast to children who do something for fun.
As adults, we tend to be too cautious and lose our freedom. When something is on your mind, you have the courage to say, ‘I want to do it! I want to do it! Don’t worry about what others think, just be honest about how you feel.
