「苦しさ」が「楽しさ」になる強さ

ある人にとっては、まったく理解できないこと。

快適な都会に住んでいるのに、なんで、わざわざ極寒の雪山なんかに登るのか。信じられない。

飽食の時代。なんで、わざわざ断食なんかして、餓えを味わうのか。信じられない。

車もバイクもあるこのご時世、なんで、わざわざ自転車なんかで山なんて登るのか。坂を登るために、わざわざ坂を降りるにか。信じられない。

船で行けば数時間で着く距離を、なんで、わざわざ1日かけて泳ぐのか。信じられない。

ある人にとっては、まったく理解できないこと。

ある人にとっての「苦しさ」が「楽しさ」になる強さ。

どんな分野でもいい。これが仕事にいかせれば、最高に強い。なによりとっても幸せだ。

Strength where ‘suffering’ becomes ‘pleasure
When you live in a comfortable city, why would you bother to climb extremely cold, snowy mountains?

We live in an age of food boredom. Why do we go to the trouble of fasting and starving ourselves?

In this age of cars and motorbikes, why do people bother to climb mountains by bicycle? Why go all the way down a mountain to climb it?

Why bother to spend a whole day swimming when you can get there in a couple of hours by boat?

It’s completely incomprehensible.

It doesn’t matter what field you’re in. The power to turn people’s ‘suffering’ into ‘joy’. If I can apply that to my work, I am the strongest and most happy.
