この朝は、あの朝と同じでないはずなのに

7月31日、8月1日、8月2日は毎年恒例の家族行事。山中湖。妻のお知り合いの山中湖の施設で毎年お世話になっている。

そして毎年8月1日は山中湖の花火。

「この朝は、あの朝と同じでないはずなのに、その違いを感受する能力を失ってしまっている」という文章を何かの記事で読んだけれど、まさにそう。

毎日の違いおろか、毎年の違いすらも感受する能力を失ってしまっている。今年の花火は去年の花火と違うはずなのに。

This morning won’t be the same as that morning.
31 July, 1 August and 2 August are annual family events. Lake Yamanakako. My wife’s friend’s place at Lake Yamanakako takes care of us every year.

And every year on 1 August, there are fireworks at Lake Yamanakako.

I read in an article that “this morning should not be the same as that morning, but we have lost the ability to perceive the differences”.

I have lost the ability to notice the differences. This year’s fireworks should be different from last year’s fireworks.
