自分の職業は、視界を扱う職業である眼鏡屋。視界ということで、VRやARには非常に興味があり、オキュラスの開発版時代から新たな話題の機種が発売されるたびに購入してきた。

ここへきて最近プレステ５のVRを購入。アップルグラスが秋に発売されるということだけれど、一応４Kということなので、体験してみた。

シネマティックモードといって、120Hzで擬似大画面で映像を楽しめるモードがあるけれど、こちらはひと昔前のプロジェクターを見ている感じ。ざらつきがあるので、実際の４Kなどに比べるとまったく及ばなく、まだまだ没入というほどでもないけれど、実用レベル。

とにかくこの世界も本当にものすごいスピードで進化するので、自分の職業は、視界を扱う職業である眼鏡屋としても、今後もこの分野は常に最先端を追っていきたい。

Although not immersive.
I am an optician, a profession that deals with the field of vision. As an optician, I am very interested in VR and AR, and since the development version of the Oculus, I have been buying every time a new hot model comes out.

I came here and recently bought a PlayStation 5 VR. Apple Glass is due out in the autumn, but in case you’re wondering, it’s 4K, so I got to experience it.

There is a cinematic mode where you can enjoy images on a pseudo-large screen at 120Hz, but this feels like watching a projector from a long time ago. It is not quite as immersive as real 4K because of the roughness, but it is on a practical level.

Anyway, the world is moving at a really fast pace and as an optician whose job is all about vision, I want to keep up with the latest developments in this field.
