「カスなモチーフ」の連続による無常性

新宿と銀座で15年ほど眼鏡屋をやらせてもらっている。15年営業させていただいていると、本当に職種も超えた、たくさんの魅力的なお客様に出会う。そんなお客様から日々多くのことを学ばせていただく。

先日、新宿店で、当店の常連様より、うちのすぐ近くの歌舞伎町で松田修さんというアーティストが足に鎖をつけて5月16日から20日まで「トー横鎖暮らし」というものをしているよと教えていただいた。

松田修さんを調べると、ウォーホルの作品を「カスなモチーフ」の連続による無常性と絶妙に表現されていた。進展も結論もなく、ただただ空虚な時間が続くことに対して抱く無常感。

本日まで、新宿東宝ビルの横ということで、今このブログを書いているうちの新宿店からも450mと近いので、さっそく実際行ってみた。そしたら、外にはいらっしゃらなかった。

そうか、まだ8時台なので、こちらの中で今はお休みになられているんだろう。タバコの吸い殻があるので、本来はこちらでタバコでも？

また機会があれば、お会いしたいものだ。世の中には、本当に面白い方が多いのだなあ。

I have been running an optician’s shop in Shinjuku and Ginza for 15 years. In 15 years in business, I have met many fascinating customers. I learn a lot from them every day.

The other day, a regular customer at our Shinjuku store told me that an artist named Osamu Matsuda was holding an event called ‘To Yoko Chain Life’ in Kabukicho, near our store, from 16 to 20 May, with chains attached to his legs.

When I researched Matsuda Osamu, I found that he exquisitely described Warhol’s work as impermanence through a series of ‘Silly motifs’. A sense of impermanence that one feels when time just goes on in a void, without progress or conclusion.

Until today, next to the Shinjuku Toho Building, which is just 450 metres from our Shinjuku branch where I’m writing this blog, so let’s go there.
