百冊で耕す 〈自由に、なる〉ための読書術 を読んでいる。「朝日新聞」名文記者による読書術というだけあって、さすがに面白い。
色々と面白いけれど、やはりささった言葉はこのあたり。

最近は、いまの自分より高いところを、まるで目指してなかった。挑んで跳ね返されることも、まるでなかった今日この頃。
たとえ、アドレナリンの奴隷になっても、脱退屈。

My goal is to be higher than I am now. That way you won’t be bored in life.
I’m reading “100 Books to Cultivate Your Reading Skills to Become Free”. It is really interesting because it is a book on reading techniques written by a famous reporter for the Asahi Shimbun newspaper.
It’s interesting in many ways, but the words that really stuck out to me were these.
The aim is to be higher than you are now. That way you won’t be bored in life.
Challenge and be rejected. This experience itself is necessary.
Lately I haven’t been aiming higher than I am now. These days it’s as if I’ve never been challenged and rebuffed.
Even if you are a slave to adrenaline,Get out of a boring life.
