Yokosuka ‘Uraga Michi’
Today I went to Yokosuka for work. Probably for the first time in my life, I visited Itsumi and Shioiri stations. Shioiri station is very wealthy and exotic. There is a big shopping mall by the sea where you can buy everything. There is a large park by the sea and a nice Starbucks.
Itzumi Station is located in the Higashi-Itzumi area, where there are many houses in a mountainous area that is completely inaccessible by car. The ‘Uraga Michi’, which leads to Itzumi and Shioiri stations, is a footpath only, and you can see the main port of Yokosuka from the top of the mountain. This area is very interesting.
When moving to a new house, it is necessary to carry all the goods with one’s body, as in the case of “walking loads” to an old house on a mountain such as Mt. Fuji (mopeds are allowed up to the halfway point), and for this reason the area is not suitable for elderly people and their families.
But happiness is subjective. Area that is uncomfortable for some and they want to leave is paradise for others.
I would like to have a studio and a house on a mountain along the Uraga road.
