同調？もしくはスケアード・ストレイト？

今日からマスクが室内でも外でもすることは個人にまかせるとなったものの、朝電車に乗ると９割は外していなかった。

自分は接客業の小売店なので、お客様がマスクをされている場合は、自分もマスクもすることにしようと思っている。

ところで、日本の社会は完全にマスクをしなくなる日はこないのかな？

絶対マスクを外し、昔の社会に戻るべき！！みたいな強い思いはないけれど、マスクをする人がほぼいないカナダやヨーロッパから考えると、日本の社会は強い同調圧力的社会？？

それとも、マイナスの体験を通じて啓発効果を高める「スケアード・ストレイト」的社会？？

Scared straight?
From today It is up to the individual to decide whether or not to wear a mask,but 90% of people do not take them off when they get on the train in the morning. This is a personal choice, so I suppose it is perfectly fine, but when you are in a customer-facing business such as a retail outlet, it is difficult to take it off.

In my case, if the customers are wearing masks, I will wear a mask too.

When will we stop wearing masks altogether? Will we remain a masked society?

I don’t have a strong feeling that I should definitely take off my mask but is today’s society still a society of peer pressure? Or is it a ‘Scared Stray’ society of education, raising awareness through scary and frightening experiences?
