From the individual to the Divided Person. The ideal ‘Divided Person’ in my mind.
Today I listened to Keiichiro Hirano’s “What is Me – From ‘Individual’ to ‘Divided Person'”, which was in Dragon sakura 2 and was also a test for the University of Tokyo, all at once because it was on Audible for free.
It is indeed an interesting book, as it was used as a test question.
The divided person. There has always been the term ‘Divided Person’, but in a sense people are multiple personalities to begin with.
Human relationships are relationships with other people, so it is right to have any number of personalities. It is natural to have a self that you dislike and a self that you like. You choose the self you like from among them.
I, too, have been looking for my ideal ‘Divided Person’ since I was a student, when I went backpacking alone. And now I mainly try to make sure that my ideal ‘Divided Person’ occupies my daily life.
However, in the course of various events and relationships, the old ‘Divided Person’ that I disliked and should have sealed off suddenly appears. Especially during parenthood.
In normal times, the ugliest ‘Divided Person’ of my life so far have come out in Antarctica, Everest and Alaska during my attempts to climb Everest. At the same time, it was during the Everest challenge that my ‘Divided Person’ that I liked so much came out, also during the Everest challenge.
The ‘Divided Person’ that occupy my mind should be the kind that I can like as much as possible, rather than the ugly ones.
