初ヨットレースで、逗子マリーナ
人生初のヨットレース。お客様の紹介で逗子マリーナでの人生初のヨットレースに参加させていただいた。
レースに参加した船は35隻ほど。10時30にレースが始まりゴールしたのが12；30頃だったので2時間。今日は風がそこまでなかったっようで、自分のガーミンで見ていたところ、時速は大体15−20km。自分はただの見学で何もしなかったけれど、クルーは自分以外で7名の先輩方。
沖に出ると、大学のインカレの大会もあったらしくたくさんのヨットがいる。さらに公園などにあるようなただの手漕ぎボートが沖にたくさん浮いている。あれはなんですか？と聞くと、釣り船だという。動力のない手漕ぎボートは、動力のある船でまとめて朝、沖に連れてきてもらい6時間など沖で釣りを楽しむと言う。
ヨットに乗るのも、逗子マリーナ自体に入るのは初めて。レースの終わったヨットは、クレーンのようなものに釣り上げられ、陸地で保管されるのが普通のようだ。
ちなみに、中古のヨットで大体1000万。年間のマリーナの費用が200万程度で、今日のような大会が月2回ほど開かれているという。
本当に世の中、まだまだ自分の知らない色々な世界があるものなのだなあ。何から何まで新鮮な１日。

First yacht race Zushi Marina.
First yacht race of my life. A customer introduced me to the Zushi Marina for the first yacht race of my life.
About 35 boats took part in today’s race, which started at 10.30am and finished at about 12.30pm, so it lasted two hours. I was just observing and didn’t do anything, but there were seven other senior members of the crew.
When I went out to sea, there were many yachts, as if there had been an intercollegiate competition. In addition, there were many rowing boats floating offshore, like those found in parks. When I asked what they were, they said they were fishing boats. The rowing boats, which are not powered, are brought offshore in the morning by powered boats to enjoy fishing offshore for six hours or so.
After the race, the yachts are usually fished out by a crane and stored on land.
A second-hand yacht costs roughly 10 million. The annual cost of the marina is around 2 million, and competitions like today’s are held twice a month.
There really is a whole world out there that I don’t even know about yet. A day where everything is fresh.
