前回タイ行きの反省を生かし、今回は前乗り。

明日から、１週間パリ。現在、ちょうど日本に台風直撃中。

2年ほど前、同じように台風で成田空港までの交通手段が電車はもちろん、バスもタクシーもすべて止まってしまっていて、飛行機は飛んでいたものの、行けなかったことがある。

なので、今回は、念には念入れて前乗りし、成田空港のカプセルホテルに前泊。

そういえば、日本のカプセルホテルは初めてかもしれない。

蜂の巣のような寝床。同じ寝巻きを着ての行動。超効率的。この無駄を削ぎ落とした感と、ツボ効率すごいな。

自分はまったく嫌いじゃない。最高なのだけれど、これはある意味、効率を追求した結果、SF映画であるディストピア的雰囲気。

この携帯の宿泊業、これ真剣にとっても、興味があるな。

とにかく、成田までついたので、まずは、明日無事飛行機が飛ぶことを！

At the moment, a typhoon is just hitting Japan.

Two years ago, a similar typhoon stopped all transportation to Narita Airport, not only trains, but also buses and taxis, and although the plane was flying, I was unable to go.

So this time, I took precautions and stayed overnight at a capsule hotel at Narita Airport.

Come to think of it, this was probably my first time in a capsule hotel in Japan.

Beds like a beehive. Wearing the same nightgown. Super efficient. This feeling of cutting down on waste and pressure point efficiency is amazing.

I don’t dislike it at all. It’s great, but in a way this is the result of the pursuit of efficiency, the dystopian atmosphere of a SF film.

I’m seriously interested in this mobile accommodation business.

Anyway, now that I’m at Narita, first of all, let’s hope the plane flies safely tomorrow!
