子供との旅行は、やっぱり１対１につきる。

本来は山中湖に行く予定だったのだけれど、予定がキャンセルになったので、今日は、妻と長女をおいて、下の子3人とちょっとした一泊旅行。

特に何があるわけでもなかったけれど、近場の海浜幕張のニューオータニ、プール付きプランというもので、一泊している。

コロナのせいなのか、元々そうなのか、よくわからないけれど、プールは宿泊者が誰でも入れるものではなく、別料金。そもそも日本のホテルは家族旅行で行く沖縄以外泊まることも、ほぼなかったので、わからなかったけれど、こんなものなのかな？

それは、そうと、やっぱり、子供との旅行は１対１につきる。

一番下の子はまだ3歳なので、子供たちみんなで行くと、やっぱりどうしても一番下の子にべったりつくことになってしまう。すると、他の二人とは、密なコミュニケーションなどとれないし、たぶん、このような旅行は娘たちとしても、なんの発見もない。

やっぱり、早くコロナが完全に終わって、非日常の海外へ娘たちとそれぞれ、１対１で年一回、１週間ぐらいの旅に出たいなぁ。

Traveling with kids is all about one-on-one.
We had originally planned to go to Lake Yamanakako, but our plans were cancelled, so today I left my wife and oldest daughter behind for a short overnight trip with my three youngest children.

There was nothing special going on, but we stayed overnight at the New Otani in Kaihin-Makuhari, on a plan that included a swimming pool.

I am not sure if it is because of Corona or originally, but the pool is not open to all guests, and there is an extra charge. I had never stayed in a hotel in Japan except for family trips to Okinawa, so I did not know what to expect, but I guess that is how it is.

That being said, traveling with children is all about one-on-one.

The youngest is only 3 years old, so the youngest is always the one who gets attached to. This means that I can’t communicate with the other two children, and my daughters probably won’t discover anything.

I would like to finish Corona completely and go abroad for a week or so once a year, one-on-one, with each of my daughters.
