ガストの配膳ロボットとエレベーターガール
子供たちから「ガストにロボットがいるから行きたいっ」というので、モーニング朝７時からガストに行ってきた。
確かにいた配膳ロボット。ちなみにこのロボット2016年に深圳でできたPUDUという会社のもののよう。最近はDJIといい中国勢が本当にすごい。
実際の動きは、まだぎこちなかったけれど、朝の時間帯であれば、十分機能していた。
「以前エレベーターガールっていうエレベーターのドアを開け閉めする日がいたんだよ」と言っても今の子はまったくピンとこないのと同じで、「以前、人間がウェイターやウェイトレスとして働いていたこともあったんだよ」と言っても、まったくピンとこない、そんな日が来るのも、じつはそう遠くないかもしれない。

Gusto’s Catering Robot and Elevator Girl
My kids told me they wanted to go to Gusto because of the robot there, so we went to Gusto at 7:00 AM in the morning.
There was indeed a catering robot. The movements were still a bit awkward, but it was functioning well enough for morning hours.
Just like today’s children do not have any idea when I say, “There used to be an elevator girl who opened and closed elevator doors,” they do not have any idea when I say, “There used to be a human working as a waiter or a waitress. The day may not be so far away.
