ガーミンの時計とGPXファイルの組み合わせが便利すぎ！

現在メインでは、ガーミンのfenix7x Dual powerという時計をつけている。とにかくこの時計バッテリーの持ちが半端ない。GPSを常に使っていても平気で１週間ぐらい持つ。

今までも大変便利だったのだけれど、さらにGPXファイルを読み込んでナビしてもらいながら、ランニング＆トレイルしてみたら本当に便利だった。

GPX ファイルは、GPSデータを交換するための XML文書の形式で、最近は大会HPやその他、ランニングサイトなどいろいろなところからダウンロードできる。

トレイランニングの大会のGPXファイルを読み込めば、その大会のコースをなぞれるし、違う方のおすすめコースもGPXファイルを読み込めばすべてそのまま再現できる。

スマホであれば、ジオグラフィカというアプリを使うとGPXファイルを簡単に読み込めるけれど、ガーミンがあれば、携帯すら必要なく、時計だけでいける。何よりバッテリーをまったく気にしないで良い。

もともとGPSメーカーとして生まれたガーミン。今日はGPXファイルをもとに30kmほど飯能周辺をトレッキングしてきたけれど、GPS最強のガーミンの力を最大限に引き出せる使い方だ。やっぱりガーミンは位置情報系の力を発揮してこそガーミンだ！

handy combination of a Garmin watch and GPX files!

I am currently wearing a Garmin fenix7x Dual power watch as my main watch. The battery life of this watch is amazing, even if I use GPS all the time, it lasts for about a week.

It’s a great watch, but it was really useful for running and trails while having the GPX file loaded and navigated further.

GPX files are XML documents for exchanging GPS data, and can be downloaded from various places such as official race websites and other running websites these days.

If you load a GPX file of a trayrunning event, you can trace the course of that event, and if you load a GPX file of a different person’s recommended course, you can recreate it all as is.

If you have a smartphone, you can easily read GPX files using an app called Geografica, but with Garmin, you don’t even need a phone, just a watch. The most important thing is that I don’t have to worry about the battery at all.

Garmin was originally born as a GPS manufacturer. Today I trekked 30km around Hanno based on GPX files, and it was a great way to maximize the power of Garmin, the most powerful GPS！
