冥王星「タベイ山」
昨年、国際天文学連合によって、女性初のエベレスト登頂や７大陸最高峰登頂された故・田部井淳子さんにちなみ命名された冥王星の山「タベイ山」
「タベイ山」の命名は、2006年に打ち上げられた冥王星を含む太陽系外縁天体の探査を行う無人探査機ニューホライズンズのチームが提案したという。
遥か彼方、冥王星の山に、田部井淳子さんの名前、なんて素敵な話だろう！！！
冥王星の特徴的なハート形をしたスプートニク平原の南側に位置するという「タベイ山」死ぬまでにぜひ行ってみたいものだ。何歳まで生きたら、人類は有人で「タベイ山」まで行けるようになるだろうか。もしくは、自分が何歳の時点で、人類の寿命を劇的に伸ばす技術ができ、人類が「タベイ山」到達できる年まで延命できるようになるだろうか。
